Pittsfield Country Club Wedding


I could've posted the entire gallery in this blog but I had to stop myself! The weather, the color scheme, the fall foliage, it was all too perfect. Literally a photographer’s dream day. 


This day was stunning from start to finish. M&T are such wonderful people and it was clear on their big day just how loved they are. They both come from really close knit families and you could feel how special this day meant to everyone, not just them.  


And, as some of you know, The Country Club of Pittsfield is near and dear to my heart -- it's where I got married, too! There’s something so special about this venue:



  • The architecture and decor makes any wedding feel timeless and traditional. You can bring in any colors or theme and it works.
  • The ceremony is right out back of the reception and the greens are always immaculate for photos.
  • The wrap around porch is so great for cocktail hour.
  • You can also catch a glimpse of the mountains and fall foliage if you look across the road.
  • And the food. My goodness, the food is outstanding – seriously, people from my wedding in 2018 STILL say this to me. (Do other people’s families talk about food as much as mine? Is this just an Italian family thing?)

Getting ready at the country club


Both the bride and groom got ready on-site, both rooms were buzzing with excitement and good energy.


Megan had the prettiest color scheme with all the girls wearing different shades of purple. And Tyler’s crew included a junior groomsmen which always makes for more laughs and fun. The girl's getting ready area has the tallest ceilings and are great for hair and makeup (and pictures).


The country club also provides food if you get ready there and personally I think this is so key. I have seen so many bridal parties have to scramble to order or arrange food on their wedding day. (Oh gosh, am I really talking about food again?!)

A first look at the top of the course

We grabbed some champagne and headed up to the top of the course with the most stunning views for first look.


It was just the three of us and so super sweet. M&T then took a moment to sit down and read their vows to each other in private.


Connecting privately before the big day is so special, I think. It gives you a chance to take it all in before the celebration begins. People say it all the time and it is so true, your wedding day will fly by.


After vows, we scooted over to the lake for bridal and family portraits. (Again, this color scheme and the different styles and textures were SO good.)

A gorgeous ceremony


Ceremony was gorgeous, everyone so excited to be there. Guests were able to watch from the chairs on the lawn or up on the covered wrap around porch. Their officiant was someone near and dear to them and he balanced so perfectly making us all laugh while keeping it really heartfelt.


Megan’s dad was giddy walking her down the aisle. I was so glad to capture that.


And if you look to the right of that image of Megan and her dad, with the light hair and sparkly dress, that's Megan's mom looking on. I can still feel the emotion!

A traditional reception


And then onto cocktail and reception where everyone finally got to celebrate with an incredible dinner, drinks, dancing to a live band. All of the best traditions unfolded:


  • Grand entrance with a massive 16-person bridal party
  • First dances as newlyweds
  • Parents dances (always the sweetest)
  • Toasts from the maid of honor and best man
  • A blessing from Megan’s dad (not a dry eye in the room)
  • And a private, short and sweet cake cutting


Tyler’s mom also gave a speech and their first dance together was really fun!


Nothing beats a live band and it’s so cool that the Country Club of Pittsfield can comfortably fit a large band and still have room for a full-size dance floor.
